Paige VanZant signs with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship after leaving UFC
Paige VanZant has signed a multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship after leaving the UFC.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to say she is “about to change the game” and promising fight news “coming soon.”
It was later revealed by ESPN she had signed an exclusive deal with the bareknuckle boxing franchise.
In an interview with Bare Knuckle FC posted to Instagram, Van Zant said she couldn't wait for her first fight, expected to take place in November.
"I'm so excited," said VanZant. "I'm telling everybody, huge news that I've signed a big contract with you guys and I'm really excited.(Image: Zuffa LLC via Getty Images)

"This is a dream come true. I can't wait to get my first fight announced."
VanZant is believed to have turned down interest from BKFC and Bellator following her UFC exit, which came a month after a first-round submission loss to Amanda Ribas at UFC 251.
That fight was her first in 18 months after a series of injury setbacks with her right arm, which she broke during a fight against Jessica-Rose Clark in 2018.
Last year, VanZant revealed she had held talks with WWE boss Stephanie McMahon about a future career with the wrestling promotion.(Image: Paige VanZant/Instagram)
